The Forewinds was the first "pro" band that I played with. The manager was the father of the guitarist and he ran the band
as if it was a business. This was my first taste of discipline within the music business but this would be of great value
for the future. The two singers, Ken and Carl, showed me the other side of being a musician and I grew up rather quickly.
Looking back at some of the photos, the Vox and Selmer amps and the Hofner and Burns guitars would fetch a good price on EBAY
today. We were a good covers band and could virtually play anywhere for anyone but ultimately I wanted more. I had already
started to write songs, simple songs, but we all have to start somewhere. The old saying "As one door closes another opens"
became reality as I moved from the "safe" band to a bunch of rockers "The Missing Links".
